Fossil fuels power the aviation industry, and world leaders are calling for change. France, Sweden, and Denmark have all pledged to transition to fossil-free domestic flights by 2030, although the replacement fuel source seems elusive. One long-term solution, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), remains at least five years away from widespread access, but business aviation has a chance to lead the charge. With smaller aircraft and a choice of aviation centers to use, the supply of SAF could determine the success of business airports in the future.
