Forging the Fossil-Free Fuel Future


Fossil fuels power the aviation industry, and world leaders are calling for change. France, Sweden, and Denmark have all pledged to transition to fossil-free domestic flights by 2030, although the replacement fuel source seems elusive. One long-term solution, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), remains at least five years away from widespread access, but business aviation has a chance to lead the charge. With smaller aircraft and a choice of aviation centers to use, the supply of SAF could determine the success of business airports in the future. NBAA associate Stewart D’Leon explained some of the nuances in Biodiesel Magazine.
